There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.

Read from Anasuya’s Blog:

Where does a healer go for health and healing? I go to Anasuya whom I trust deeply and with my most tender human pains; physical and meta-physical. Anasuya’s medicine transcends all modalities known to me. It is medicine of experience and being experienced, known, seen, loved and accepted as I am. It is the medicine of being connected with something larger than all of us and our inherent pain as humans. Her rootedness, dedication, insight and wholeheartedness are gifts to our world and I am grateful!

My goal is to help you with the authentic exploration of the truth within yourself and the experience of fulfillment in all areas of your life.

The realm of all spiritual and personal development occurs on the playing field of relationship. To heal the pains between us, to create love and care in all we do, with and for others, to be in the presence of the shimmering light of our own soul and to shine that light outward to others is a magical gift for all. It is not without hardship, not without certain kinds of suffering. But to find the bliss in the suffering and let ourselves be immersed in that which is outside of this impermanent body, yet resides forever within our immortal soul is the Creator's gift to human beings.

I am here to serve humanity. The reflection of this truth comes from the people whom I encounter and touch. It is a blessing to be able to help others on the healing journey. I delight in helping you find your truth and happiness, as you release long held pain. When you leave our healing session with a greater capacity to meet the demands of your life, standing taller, with a smile on your face, it is joy to behold.

As women and mothers, we have an immense job to do. But it is a job worth doing. It is a job that feeds the very nature of our souls.

How I got here:

Three unrelated yet inexplicably intertwined events in my childhood set the framework for the woman, healer and mother I have become.

At the age of 8, with the support of my parents, I was introduced to self-realization practices. That winter I fell through the ice on a frozen pond and nearly drowned, by spring I had witnessed my brother being born at home. Birth, death and the study of what it means to be alive have shaped my world.

Precocious and empathic by nature, at the age of 10 I ran through the streets of Woodstock N.Y. talking to anyone who would listen about ending world hunger. By 13 years old I was a regular volunteer providing support for adult participants in personal transformation courses. By 17 years old I was living on my own in San Fransisco, attending regular protests for social justice issues and working full time as a screen printer. By 22 I had begun to explore spirituality and my own innate extra-sensory gifts. A couple of years later I felt compelled to go to massage school, and in 1998 I graduated from East West Collage of Healing Arts in Portland OR with a license in massage therapy. The week before I graduated, my husband and I found out that we were pregnant.

Massage, meditation and mothering have gone hand in hand for me. During my pregnancy I was introduced to meditation by a friend, she gave me a powerful yet sweet Sanskrit mantra to chant for the highest happiness of mother and baby. Through this mantra I began to experience the bliss of consciousness. Shortly after my son was born, I met my teacher, Sri Kaleshwar, for the first time.

During the last 18 years I have journeyed to India both with my family and on my own many times to study the ancient wisdom of soul healing directly from Sri Kaleshwar. In 2010 I completed a year long master healers training at the Soul University in Penukonda S. India, with my two sons in tow, earning certification to teach the ancient knowledge and help others using the Sai Shakti healing techniques. Sri Kaleshwar opened my healing channels, I continue to work on developing them.

In my 20 years working with and studying the healing arts, I would say that my clients are the best teachers. It is through the act of healing others that I have found out who I am as a healer. Yet I know that I have not arrived, there is always more to know and experience, I will be learning and growing until my last breath.

My husband, Bhakti and I have created a sanctuary in our home which we lovingly call The Parashakti Healing Center. We perform a Sacred Fire Ceremony every new and full moon that are open to the public. We love to sing Bhajans during our events as this opens everyone's heart so beautifully. I practice massage and Sai Shakti Soul healing, in-person and long-distance from my home studio and host spiritual discourse, satsang.

It is a humble house, one minute we are hosting a serious event and the next we are laughing and rough-housing. We do not take ourselves too seriously for too long. We work, play, gather, grow, dance, laugh, cry, sing, study, meditate, and the days go on. We are living simply this precious life with love and gratitude moment by moment loving and embracing the wild beautiful messiness of our lives.

As Sri Kaleshwar liked to say, “Life is short, make it sweet.”

This is the true joy in life, the being used for a purpose recognized by yourself as a mighty one; the being a force of nature instead of a feverish, selfish little clod of ailments and grievances complaining that the world will not devote itself to making you happy.

I am of the opinion that my life belongs to the whole community, and as long as I live it is my privilege to do for it whatever I can.

I want to be thoroughly used up when I die, for the harder I work the more I live. I rejoice in life for its own sake. Life is no “brief candle” for me. It is a sort of splendid torch which I have got hold of for the moment, and I want to make it burn as brightly as possible before handing it on to future generations.

Sacred Fire Ceremony ~ Parashakti Center

Every person is a piece of God. Every person’s soul is a piece of God. We’re all equal. We all came from greatness, but we are ignoring our greatness. We feel we are in the dark. You’re a master yourself but you don’t know that. You have a lot of abilities. There’s an unbelievable huge light hidden in us. Through certain spiritual processes, we can bring that light up. Once our light increases everything is possible.
You just need guidance
— Sri Kaleshwar

Sacred Fire Ceremony

Are you feeling overwhelmed by the problems in the world? Are you feeling compassion fatigue? Stressed from seeing yet another tragic story, not sure how you can help? You've donated, you've marched, you've signed every petition. You just feel like there is nothing left in you.

Sacred Fire Ceremony is an action that not only creates change on the deepest and subtlest levels on the globe but also in you! You can use the fire to burn the negativity that weighs you down even as you send your love and healing power out to the world.

This is something we can do together. It is a powerful action and it creates change!

Sacred Fire + Shared Intention = Positive Action. The formula and the remedy are when two or more gather with love and healing as the purpose, using sacred fire to create a new transformative energy.

Receive the energy to your soul, send the energy to those you love. Be the change you want to see. Gain new tools for releasing negativity and enjoy the support and love of a like-minded dedicated community. We are in this together.

The Parashakti Sacred Fires link with a global network of peacemakers made up of people from all cultures, traditions, faiths, and backgrounds, through a global movement called Peace Fires.

I have attended and Pujari’d hundreds of fire ceremonies, from India to California to Portland. It is by far the most powerful spiritual practice a person can do, it is like putting a jet engine on your prayers and sending them straight to source for manifestation.
