Do not mistake her soft belly for laziness, in the fields of her flesh is a celestial creator, a womb that has birthed life for eons, operating a continuous cycle of creation and destruction.

There is secret magic in the use of firelight in this process. The fire has the property of transformation. Fire can transform a forest, at first it destroys and then it regenerates and through that regeneration, it strengthens the plants and life there.

Rarely do we receive the gift of someone trusting us to listen to what we need from the depths of our being. To listen to our own bodies, babies and children from a place of curiosity and silence. There is so much doing as a parent, and not enough pure being.

I wait in profound silence for what I do not know
